Emilyn Watkins is a sophomore at BYU studying economics and applied mathematics. She first discovered economics through the ideas of effective altruism, which sparked her interest in using data and research to tackle real-world problems. She plans to pursue a PhD in economics after she graduates. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, and nerding out about philosophy.
